“Moving Ahead, but not Forgetting”

Here is the apostle Paul, ready to ‘retire’. Or die. It’s unclear. He is in prison and as far as we know was never released. He has plenty of time to reflect, and he is looking ahead. But I take issue with one thing he says, “Forgetting what lies behind”. The past is a God-given gift that makes the future possible.
